Alice D. Nantkes, 90, of Holy Cross Health and Rehabilitation, formerly of 100 Center Apartments, died at 4:30 p.m., Friday, at Holy Cross. Mrs. Nantkes was born on March 4, 1906, in Decatur, Ill., and had lived in South Bend for 16 years, coming from Sturgis, Mich.

As Alice D. Spangler, she married Edward E. Nantkes, in Decatur. He preceded her in death in November of 1974. Survivors include a son, Gerald ''Jerry'' E. Nantkes of South Bend; two grandchildren, Lori and Jeffery Nantkes; and a sister, Louise Atchison of Decatur.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, in the chapel of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.
