Paul F. Names, 80, of St. Joseph Care Center West, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday at the nursing home.
Mr. Names retired from Transpo as a bus driver after 20 years of employment.
He was born Feb. 20, 1912 in Chicago, and had lived most of his life in the South Bend area.
On Aug. 8, 1945 he married Virginia Rupe. She died on Oct. 29, 1976. He is survived by a daughter, Helen Decker of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Names was an Army veteran of World War II.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Hanley & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County.
