Steve G. Nagy (Jan. 26, 1917 -- May 18,
2007)
SOUTH BEND -- Steve G. Nagy, 90,
passed away at 9:05 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007, in Saint Joseph
Care Center West.
Steve was born on January 26, 1917, in South
Bend, to Joseph and Helen (Cseresznyak) Nagy.
He retired in 1979 from Torrington where he
was employed for 38 years. Mr. Nagy was a member of the Calvert
Rod & Gun Club, bowled in the "Moose" league at
Beacon Bowl and had played softball for Levy Ward.
On May 4, 1940, in South Bend, he married
the former Elizabeth Konter, who survives. Also surviving
are two daughters, Patricia (Roger) Blodgett of Salt Lake
City, UT, and Karen (Tom) Kimble of South Bend; five
grandchildren, Christopher Blodgett, Jeffrey Blodgett, Kelly Stevens,
Kimberly Shemwell and David Kimble; nine
great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Batcho and Mary
Nolke, both of South Bend.
Steve was preceded in death by a sister,
Helen Wiltfong, and three brothers, Joseph Nagy Jr., Alex
Nagy and Johnny Nagy.
Services will be at noon Wednesday in the
Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow at Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call two hours
prior to services in the funeral home.

Hospice of St. Joseph County or to the St. Joseph Care Center
West.
