SOUTH BEND - Philomena ''Phyllis'' Nagy,
82, of South Kendall Street, died at 5:20 a.m. today in Memorial
Hospital. Mrs. Nagy retired in 1961 from Uniroyal Technology
Corp., Mishawaka, and in 1971 from Indiana University South Bend,
and was an Avon representative for 17 years. She was born May 5,
1913, in South Bend.
On Sept. 28, 1935, in South Bend, as
Philomena Goralski, she married Steve Nagy. He survives
with a daughter, Gerry La Cosse of South Bend; two
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Joseph
Goralski, Steve Goralski, Ted Goralski and Harry Goralski, all of
South Bend. She was a member of St. Ann Society of St. Casimir
Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our
Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph
Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County Inc.
