Marie V. Nagy (March 25, 1911 - June
7, 2001)
Marie V. Nagy, 90 of W. Washington St.,
South Bend, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Care
Center.
She was born March 25, 1911 in South Bend
and was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Niemier) Kazmierczak.
Mrs. Nagy was formerly employed at Washington High School in the
School Cafeteria. She was also an employee at the former Alby's
Café.
On June 19, 1937, as Marie Kazmierczak she
married Joseph Nagy who preceded her in death on April 13, 1996.
Also preceding her in death were four sisters, Clara Wentland,
Lucille Boudreau, Catherine Stepanek and Rita
Kazmierczak; and three bothers, Peter Kazmierczak, Carl
Kazmierczak and Leonard Kazmierczak. She is survived by a sister,
Tillie Kazmierczak of South Bend, several nieces and nephews and
several great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and
6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Services
will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church
with entombment to follow in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum
in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Nagy was a member of Holy Family
Catholic Church, Holy Family Altar and Rosary Society and the
Calvert Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary.
