SOUTH BEND - Judith A. Nagy, 66, passed away on Wednesday,
October 8, 2008, at 2:25 p.m. in her home, surrounded by her
children. Judith was born on October 24, 1941, in South Bend to
the late Joseph and Anna (Freitag) Nagy. On November 13,
1977, she married Mitchell in South Bend. He preceded her in
death on July 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her
sister, Deborah Blount. She is survived by her three
children, Michelle (Allen) McHolland of South Bend, Deanna
(Ron) Taylor of Bremen, and William Freeman of
South Bend; step-son, Shayne (Leah) Nagy of Osceola, IN; six
grandchildren, Kayla, Samantha, Alix, Cole, Mitchell, and Aiden;
and by her brother, William Nagy of South Bend. Judith worked at
Meridian Title Mortgage as a closing agent for the last twelve
years and was in the mortgage industry for 35 years. She was a
member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Everyone who knew her, loved
her. She lived her life to take care of her family and would not
feel fulfilled unless she was taking care of someone. Mom never
complained, no matter what she went through in life, especially
most recently as she battled cancer that would eventually take
her life. She fought all the way until the very end. Although she
is no longer with us, we know she is watching over us, and we are
at peace knowing she is no longer in pain, and that she has
joined her husband, mother, father, and other family members in
heaven. We love you so much Mom, you taught us how to love life
and the meaning of family. Our lives will never be the same, but
because of you we have many memories to keep your spirit alive.
