Betty J. Nagle, 76, of Bremen
Highway, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 4:15
a.m. early Tuesday morning, April 11, in Hospice House, South
Bend, Ind. Betty was born on May 29, 1923, in Mishawaka, as the
daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Bayes) Heiser.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Burkett
and Margaret Bernhardt. Betty was a lifetime area
resident.
On March 7, 1942, in South Bend, as the
former Betty J. Heiser, she married Robert Nagle. Betty is
survived by her husband Robert of 58 years; a daughter, Cheryl Nelson
of Maui, Hawaii; two sons, Thomas E. Nagle of Manchester, N.H.,
and Douglas P. Nagle of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Bryan
Nagle, Brendan Nagle, Mathew Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Adam Nagle
and Erin Nagle; two sisters, Catherine Redman of South
Bend and Marge Vervaet of Mishawaka; and by two brothers,
William Heiser of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Fredrick
"Fritz" Heiser of Bremen, Ind. Betty was an office
manager for Whiteford Trucking for 15 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.
Betty was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's
Club.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.
on Saturday, April 15, in the Coalbush United Methodist Church.
Betty's family will receive friends one hour prior to services in
the church on Saturday. The Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th
Street, Mishawaka, is handling arrangements. Contributions in
memory of Betty may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County,
Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437; to the
National Kidney Foundation of Indiana, 911 E. 86th Street, Suite
#100, Indianapolis, IN 46240; or to Coalbush United Methodist
