Mrs. Ida C. Myers

    Services for Mrs. Ida C. Myers, 85, of the Carlyle Nursing Home, South Bend, formerly of 1021 E. 3rd St., who died at 9:45 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Rev. Leon Hartman, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate, Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

     She was born on Aug. 16, 1887, in Williams County, Ohio, and lived here for the past 65 years. She had worked in School City cafeterias for more than 35 years, retiring in 1957. As Ida Easier, on June 16, 1906, in Edgerton, Ohio, she married William I. Myers. He died in 1950, Survivors include a son, Raymond E. of Walkerton; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Lucille Johnson, preceded her in death.  She was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church.
