SOUTH BEND - Joseph Muszynski, 84, of South Dundee Street, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Muszynski was formerly employed by Studebaker Corp. and was a printer for Oliver Printing and Schillings Printing. He was born Dec. 7, 1909, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 2, 1939, in South Bend, he married Katherine H. Knopinski. She died Jan. 23, 1983. Surviving are a daughter, Henrietta Markiewicz of Kokomo; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren ; and a sister, Lottie Cooper of South Bend. A stepdaughter, Rosie (Cuzinski) Galvas, died in 1972, and a stepson, Richard, died in 1982. He was a member of Howard Park Senior Citizens and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
