MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Valis G. "Genny" Musselman, 89, passed
away Thursday in the residence of her daughter, Charlene. She was
born in Millcreek, IN, to Earl and Alma (Worthington) Huffman.
She was married in 1940 to "the love of her life,"
Quentin R. Musselman, who passed away on Sept. 23, 1987. Genny
had been employed by the Indiana Toll Road as the Food Service
Supervisor in charge of all the restaurants on the east half of
the Toll Road. She is survived by her children, Charlene A.
Musselman of Mishawaka, Carol A. Rozanski of Elkhart and Quentin
A. Musselman of Amarillo, TX; a sister-in-law, Florence Huffman
of South Bend; two grandsons, Anthony Lombardi of Mishawaka and
Adam A. Rozanski of Elkhart; and two great-grandchildren. Besides
her parents and husband she was also predeceased by her brother,
Ray Huffman, and a great-grandson, Matthew G. Rozanski. Genny was
an avid crossword puzzle and card player. She will be remembered
by many for her famous neighborhood Poker and Canasta parties.
She enjoyed cooking (especially her Ginger Bread Houses) and
decorating: "she had very good taste. She loved shopping at
Thrift Stores. She had a good business sense about her managing
their rental properties after her husband died. Friends may call
from 5-7 p.m. Monday in the McGann Hay, Forest G. Hay Funeral
Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive at Jefferson, where the funeral will
be on Tuesday. The exact time will be announced in tomorrow's
paper. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Memorial
donations may be made to the Disabled Americans Veterans
