GRANGER - Ellen M. Mussche, 78, of Granger, formerly of
Wilber Street, South Bend, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008,
with her family at her side in Saint Joseph Medical Center,
Mishawaka. She was born on August 24, 1929, in Mishawaka, to the
late Henry and Ellen (Neddo) Henke. She was also preceded
in death by her brother, Robert Henke.
On December 18, 1948, in Mishawaka, she
married Adolf Mussche Jr., who passed away June 30, 1993. Ellen
is survived by her loving family: her two daughters, Linda Konecny
and her husband, Gene of South Bend, and Ellen Lawler-Emerick
of Granger; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two
brothers, Warren Henke and his wife, Gloria of Mishawaka, and
Gene Henke and his wife, Barbara of Mishawaka. Ellen's faithful
companion, "Kitty," her dog, and Sissy, will miss her
greatly. One of her favorite things to do was to rock babies to
sleep at Ellen's Daycare. She touched many little lives over a
number of years. This made her very happy and in turn it made
them very happy. We would like to thank our extended family
"The Wilber Street Neighbors" for the many years of
love and friendship they have shown.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday,
March 12, at 11 a.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North,
17033 Cleveland Road. Friends may visit with her family one hour
prior to the start of service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
