Thomas Gerald Murphy II

OSCEOLA - Thomas Gerald Murphy II, 61, passed away
suddenly on Thursday, November 8, at St. Joseph Regional Medical
Center, Mishawaka. Thomas was born on February 9, 1946, in South
Bend, as son of the late, Thomas and (Grebe) Clares
Murphy. Also preceding Thomas in death was a brother Donald
Murphy.
On February 14, 1970, at Queen of Peace
Catholic Church, he married the former Karen Grimes.
Surviving are his loving wife, Karen; a daughter, Tamara
(William) Sorocco of Osceola; a son, Thomas (Jaime) Murphy
III of Granger; four grandchildren, Greyson Murphy, William
"Trey" Sorocco III, Nicholas "Nico" Sorocco
and Fallon Murphy; a sister, Barbara Cocanower of Osceola;
and a brother, James Murphy of Osceola. Also surviving are his
brother-in-law, Kenny (Linda) Grimes of South Bend;
sister-in-law, Debbie (Darell) Brothers of Granger;
mother-in-law, Maryann Grimes-Kronewitter of Mishawaka;
and his maternal grandmother-in-law, Dorothy Berta of
Osceola.
Thomas worked for Nyloncraft in Mishawaka
and for Park-N-Shop. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy
and a member of the American Legion in Osceola. He was a gentle
and caring man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother
and friend. Thomas will be missed by all.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday,
November 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th
Street, Mishawaka, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11
a.m., on Monday, November 12, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church,
Mishawaka, with Rev. Daniel Scheidt officiating.
