Sister Blandina Murphy CSC

Sister Blandina CSC died Friday morning after an illness of several years. For the past year she had been an invalid an invalid with rheumatism. She was born in Ireland in 1844 and entered the convent in 1873, taking her vows as a nun in 1875. Her worldly name Elizabeth Murphy. Nearly all her life was spent at Notre Dame.

Services were held Friday from the convent chapel. Burial was in the community cemetery at St. Mary’s College and Academy.
