Mary Ann Murphy, 70, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 5:10 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mary Ann was born on November 6, 1935, in Pine Knot, Ky., to Martin Luther and Laura Belle (Stephens) Strunk, and had lived in South Bend since 1965.

She retired in 2001 from RACO, Inc. Surviving are three daughters, Teresa (Christina) Strunk of South Bend, Ind., Rebecca (Lawrence) Davis of South Bend, Ind., and Cynthia (Paul) Wasielewski of South Bend, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jason McCann, Matthew McCann, Megan (Jeffery) Shepherd, Sean Wasielewski, Brandon Davis, and Krista Wasielewski; one brother, Alonzo Strunk of Dayton, Ohio; and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wonderful friend. She loved life, and will be greatly missed.
