SOUTH BEND - Services for Helen E. Murphy, 88, of Hickory Road, who died of natural causes at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in Regency Place Nursing Home, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, Mishawaka. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Murphy retired from Uniroyal in 1962 after 23 years as an office worker. She was born Feb. 17, 1906. On Sept. 26, 1923, as Helen E. Schrock, she married Forest Murphy. He died in 1975.

Surviving are a stepdaughter, Velma Shearer of South Bend; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Ladies Field and Stream Club of Irons, Mich.
