SOUTH BEND - The gentle soul of Lucille (Kinerk) Murdock returned
to God on Friday, February 26, 2010. She was born to Frank and
Molly (Joyce) Kinerk on September 15, 1914. She attended St.
Joseph School, Central High School and graduated from the South
Bend College of Commerce. In 1942 she married Howard D. Murdock
of Kingston, New York. They moved to LaPorte where she lived for
50 years. She was active in her parish, MQ Bridge Club, the
American Cancer Society, the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary
and many other groups. Her numerous charitable acts were quiet.
Her husband died in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her
brother, Louis (Juno), and her two sisters, Florence and
Margaret. She returned to South Bend to live with her daughter,
Joyce, who survives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend at 10:30
AM. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior. Burial will
follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, IN. May she now rest in
peace with her family who she loved and missed so much and so
