Mrs. Anne E Mummey

October 19, 1909 – November 16, 1970

Mrs. Anne E. Mummey, 61, of 517 Blaine Avenue, died at 3pm Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness several days.  She was a certified dental assistant in the office of Dr. G. E. Thistlethwaite.

Born October 10, 1909, in South Bend, she resided here her lifetime.  On October 16, 1930, she was married to Ira K Mummey, who survives.  Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph S. Anda of South Bend and Peter J. Anda of Elkhart and two sisters, Mrs. Russell Mellquist of South Bend and Mrs. G. E. Keltner of Bloomington IN.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pmWednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 10am Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. William J. Neidhart, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  She was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Altar & Rosary Society, the Business and Professional Women’ Association, the State and National Assn. of Dental Assistants and was a past president of the St Joseph County Association of Dental Assistants.
