SOUTH BEND - Sister Mary Agnes Mullen (Sister M. Camillus), CSC,
87, was born in Green, KS, to the late Henry James Mullen and
Susan Jane (McQuillan) Mullen. She is survived by her sisters,
Elizabeth (Ernest) Medeiros, HI, Eileen (Vincent) O'Laughlin, WY,
and Jane (Frank) Zuccaro, CA. Sister was preceded in death by her
four brothers, Charles, Paul, Walter and John Mullen. Sister
finished high school in Jerome, ID, and then entered St.
Alphonsus Hospital School of Nursing where she met the Sisters of
the Holy Cross the first time. Sister entered the Congregation of
the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1945, following her graduation
from nursing. Sister's nursing career took her to Congregation
hospitals in CA, UT and ID. She studied to become proficient in
handling medical records and spent five years in that ministry.
Sister was active in the ministry of prayer until her death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy
Cross Ministry with the Poor Fund, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN
46556. Reception of the Body and wake services, Wednesday, Feb.
17, 2010, at 4 p.m. in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint
Mary's, Notre Dame, IN. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, Feb. 18, in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint
Mary's, Notre Dame, IN. The Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.
