SOUTH BEND - Jim Mulcahy, 72, of Carmel, Ind., formerly of 506 Ostemo Place, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lakeview Healthcare Center, Carmel. Mr. Mulcahy retired from AlliedSignal after 30 years of service as a certified public accountant. He was born June 14, 1921, in Port Clinton, Ohio, and lived in South Bend most of his life, moving to Indianapolis in 1990.

On Oct. 24, 1953, in South Bend, he married Elizabeth A. “Betty” Mulcahy. She died June 26, 1982. He is survived by a son, James A. of Indianapolis; and two nieces, Mary Lou Brennan of Indianapolis and Joyce Knoebber of Edwardsburg. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553. He was a veteran of World War II.
