Sister Martha M. Muhlenfield CSC, 85, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 3:14 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born Oct. 10, 1907, in Baltimore, as Katherine Mary Muhlenfield. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, St. Mary’s on Dec. 25, 1925; was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1926; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1928. She was assigned as a teacher in Washington DC; Rockville and Kensington, Md.; Brookline, Mass.; and Riverside, NJ. She moved to St. Mary’s in 1989, from Kensington.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today in the the convent, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m.
