Vivian N. Muellner, 87, of Parkwood
Circle, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 8:55 p.m. on Monday, April 27,
in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. She was born on Feb. 16, 1911,
in Archibold, Ohio, to Emma (Radabaugh) and Albert Charles,
who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by
a daughter, Luanne Armour, who died in 1996; a sister,
Marquerite Laser; and by a brother, Kenneth Charles.
On Oct. 23, 1980, in South Bend, she married
Joseph F. Muellner, who survives. She is also survived by a
daughter, Karen Robertson of South Bend; a son, Darryl Schmucker
of Florence, Ala.; five grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Virginia Grater
of McClure, Ohio, and Berneda Campbell of Nashville, Ill.
Mrs. Muellner retired in 1976 as a clerk for Martin's Supermarket
after 10 1/2 years of service. Prior to that she had worked as a
waitress at the South Bend Airport. She was a 1929 graduate of
Stryker High School in Stryker, Ohio, and was also a member of
St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend.
Services for Mrs. Muellner will be at 10
a.m. on Friday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South
Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, where
a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery, South Bend. The family has requested that memorial
contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
