ROLLING PRAIRIE - Mrs. Catherine M. Mrozinski, 72, of 6333N
CR-600E, died today, Friday, July 29, at 1:30 a.m. at LaPorte
Hospital, following an illness of two years. She was born March
26, 1911, in Rolling Prairie, to Ernest and Anna (Modjeska)
Layman, and had lived here all her life. She was a member of St.
John Kanty Catholic Church, Rosary Society, Golden Age Club, West
Galena Homemakers Club and Mothers of WW II. On June 5, 1929, in
Rolling Prairie, she married Louis Mrozinski who survives. Also
surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Delores Sutor of Toldeo, Ohio;
two sons, Robert L. and Edward R., both of Rolling Prairie; 10
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cecelia
Kinne of New Carlisle and two brothers, Clement Layman of Rolling
Prairie and Edward J. Layman of Michigan City. The Funeral will
be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Kanty Catholic Church with Rev.
Chester Zurawicz officiating. Friends may call at the H.C. Amen
and Son Funeral Home, New Carlisle, from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and
2-9 p.m. Sunday, where the parish rosary will be recited at 7
p.m. Burial will be in St. John Kanty Cemetery.
