Walter Mrozek
June 18, 1895 - December 4, 1939
Walter Mrozek,
aged 44, of 1817 West Elwood Avenue, died at 6:15 am today in Hines
Memorial Hospital, Hines IL, after an illness of three months.
Mr. Mrozek was a member of the A.E.F. in France, serving for 18
months with the Motor Transport Corps.
He was born in Poland,
June 18, 1895, and came to South Bend in 1921, from Joliet IL.
He was married in St Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church here on July
17, 1928, to Miss Louise Slomska, who survives.
Also surviving
are his parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Mrozek of Joliet; four
brothers, Joseph and Casimir of South Bend; Stanley of Evansville
IN and Alex of Joliet; five sisters, Mrs. John Gromski and Mrs.
Victor M. Ketchmark of South Bend, Mrs. Charles Partak of Belding
MI; and Mrs. Joseph Mudron and Miss Irene Mrozek of Joliet.
Mr. Mrozek was a
member of Pulaski Post No 357, American Legion, which will
arrange a military funeral.

Military Rites
A military
funeral will be held for Walter Mrozek, of 1817 West Elwood
Avenue, member of the A.E.F. in France for 18 months during the
World War, at 9am Thursday in St Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church
by members of Pulaski Post No. 357, American Legion, who also
will act as pallbearers. Rev. Stanislaus S. Kuszynski, CSC,
pastor, will chant the requiem High Mass. Burial will be in
St Joseph's Polish
