Richard F. Mroczkiewicz, 64, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2001, in his home.

Mr. Mroczkiewicz was born on January 9, 1937, in St. Joseph County. He retired in 1988 as a sheet metal worker for Troeger Sheet Metal, Inc.

On October 20, 1962, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, he married Elsie I. Molnar, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Sandra (Daniel) Moore of Indianapolis, IN, Cynthia (Tim) Carlton of New Carlisle, IN, Richard (Debra) Mroczkiewicz of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Brandon Carlton, Alicia Carlton, Richard J. Mroczkiewicz, Emily Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Elleanne Moore; his mother, Cecilia Mroczkiewicz of South Bend, IN; and by his two sisters, Jean Ann (Bob) Rathwick of South Bend, IN, and Suzanne (Karl II) Weigand of San Diego, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Florian Mroczkiewicz; and by one son, Christopher Mroczkiewicz

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2001, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m.

Mr. Mroczkiewicz was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and Usher's Club. He was also a member of Z.B. Falcons Nest #80 and the Northern Indiana Fishermen's Club.
