Willie
Mosgrove

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Willie Mosgrove, 94, grandfather,
great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, passed away at
6:25 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010, in the Cardinal Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, IN. Willie was born to the
union of Dave and Elizabeth (Kinard) Mosgrove on Aug. 6, 1915, in
Gilmone, AL. They both preceded him in death. Coming from
Arkansas in the 1950s, he moved to South Bend. He was united in
holy matrimony to Lillie Mae Black, who also preceded him in
death. He worked as a construction laborer for many years until
his retirement. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Dave
and Elizabeth Mosgrove; his wife, Lillie Mae Mosgrove; one
daughter, Dorothy Mae Jeffries; and by a grandson, Eugene
Roosevelt Jeffries. Survivors left to cherish his memory include
three grandchildren, Sanford Jeffries of Hammond, IN, Deborah
Jeffries of Dolton, IL, and Lynnette Jeffries of Gary, IN; along
with a host of great-grandchildren, other friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Mosgrove will take place at noon
on Tuesday, April 13th, in Alford's Mortuary, with burial
following at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Viewing will be held from
11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday in the chapel. Arrangements have
entrusted to Alford's Mortuary, where messages of
