SOUTH BEND - Revis Joe Morton, 41, of North Brookfield Street, was found dead in his home Thursday morning. Dr. Michael O'Connell, deputy county coroner, has ruled the death a suicide. Mr. Morton was a former employee of the South Bend Street Department. He was born Jan. 31, 1954, in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On Sept. 26, 1975, in South Bend, he married Paula Schimmel. She survives with two daughters, Ramie Jo Morton and Lynzie Ann Morton, both at home; a son, Greggory S. at home; his mother, Grace I. Morton of Mishawaka; his father and stepmother, Mary Etta and Bobby J. Morton of South Bend; and six brothers, Ricky L. Morton and Roger L. Morton, both of South Bend, Daniel Morton of Osceola, Larry Davis of Mishawaka, Richard Davis of Plymouth and Harry Davis of New Carlisle.
