SOUTH BEND - Ann D. Morth, 86, from South Bend, passed away on
Monday, January 11, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in
Mishawaka. Ann was born on September 13, 1923, in Summerville,
PA, to the late John Henry and Dora Ann (Ishman) Wyrick.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathi (Randy) Sharkey of Mishawaka.
Ann was a loving and caring grandmother to six grandchildren,
Dustin (Colleen) Sager of Niles, MI, Adrielle (Matt) Lewinski,
Cody Sharkey, Jessica Kull, Mason Sharkey and Jared Sharkey, all
from Mishawaka. Ann was also a great-grandmother to five
great-grandchildren, Madison, Mallory, Chase, Bridget Sager and
Alyssa Gault. A son, John Charles Morth, who passed away on
January 24, 1993, and a brother, Hershel Wyrick, preceded Ann in
death. Upon graduating from high school Ann continued her
education by attending college to become a registered nurse.
After graduating from college, Ann started her nursing career by
working at the St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She later
worked as a surgical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka.
After retiring from nursing, Ann opened the River Park Daycare
Center in South Bend, which she owned and operated. Ann loved
spending time with her family and grandchildren whom she
cherished most of all. Ann also enjoyed yard work, shopping and
visiting with friends. Ann was also a member of St. Monica
Catholic Church in Mishawaka. The family will receive friends on
Thursday, January 14th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Bubb
Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. A private funeral
service will be held on Friday for the family only. Burial will
take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
