Marcus James Morrison

April 29, 1923 - June 8, 2014

MISHAWAKA - Marcus James Morrison, 91, of Mishawaka, IN, was reunited with his wife in heaven on June 8, 2014. Marcus married Gladys "Marge" Lee Hupp on April 19, 1947. They shared 65 loving years together until she went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2012. Marcus is survived by one sister, Ileen (Paul) Piersall of Carmel; one son, Michael Morrison Dilligaf; three grand-daughters, Michelle (David) Bevins, Melinda (Mark) Uptgraft and Maria Morrison; seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Elizabeth, Meadow, Kayla, William II, James (who was named after Marcus James) and Kyle; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lilianah and Braxton. He was a World War II veteran and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946. Marcus was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 360 in Mishawaka. Marcus then went on to be a Sheet Metal Journeyman until he retired in 1978. Marcus was a very creative man and brought much joy to many people with his handcrafted works of art. Marcus truly believed in commitment and strong family bonds, He was loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola where the V.F.W. Post 360 will conduct Military Honors.
