GRANGER - Bernard J. "Snooky" Morgano, 73, of Granger, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. Bernard was born August 20, 1936, in Gary, Indiana, to Gaetano and Vincenza (Vasile) Morgano. He was the owner of Pete & Snooks Pizza in Gary, Indiana. On September 9, 1961, Bernard married Stephanie Baio, who survives. Surviving with his wife are his children, Antoinette (Dr. Michael) Salcedo of Granger, Indiana, Gaetano (Virginia) Morgano of Naperville, Illinois, Bernard V. (Donnamarie) Morgano of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Alexandra Salcedo, Mikaela Salcedo, B. Joseph Morgano, John Morgano, Giovanna Morgano and Isabella Morgano; and sisters, Carmelina (Donald) Grieco of North Brook, Illinois, and Janie (Paul) Beaudreau of Avon, Indiana. Bernard was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, and honorably served in the United States Army. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Route 933, South Bend, IN 46637. Cremation has taken place.
