SOUTH BEND - Following an 11 a.m. visitation, funeral services for Jonathan Morgan will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, Aug. 31, at the Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 S. Michigan Street. Cremation will follow at Riverview Crematory. Jonathan Morgan, 39, was born on Sept. 17, 1958, in South Bend, Ind., to Eugene and Gertrude Morgan. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Morgan, and in July '98 by his maternal grandmother, Alie Boykins. He attended LaSalle High School. Jonathan lived in Chicago, Ill., for a period of time but spent most of his adult life in South Bend.

His early Christian training was as a Jehovah's Witness, but he had more recently begun church with his grandmother at Trinity C.O.G.I.C., Niles, Mich. He was an enthusiastic football and basketball fan, as well as an avid ''Trekkie'' (Star Trek fan).

Jonathan is survived by a son, Jonathan Timothy Morgan, Jr., of South Bend; his mother, Gertrude Morgan of Chicago; four sisters, Yvonne Rucker of Columbus, Ohio, Donna Morgan of Atlanta, Ga., September Cadell and Faith Redding, both of Chicago; two brothers, Robert of South Bend and Michael of San Antonio, Texas; and a grandson, Jonathan T. Morgan, III. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. We love and will miss you. Rest in peace - The Family.
