Louis V. Moraschi, 87, of Pine Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Mr. Moraschi was born on June 20, 1910, in Chicago, Ill., and had lived most of his life in this area.
On July 27, 1957, in South Bend, he married Jessie Duffey, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Rosemary (David) DiLorenzo of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Karon (Roy) Showalter of South Bend and Sharon Mars of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Frank Moraschi of Elkhart, Ind.; and by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Moraschi was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent, and by two sisters, Margaret and Helen.
He was employed by Adams Engineering for 25 years, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Moraschi was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, IAM Local 1384, and was a charter member of Kappa Phi.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Terry Place officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Wake prayers will be at 3 p.m. today in the funeral home.
