Howard A. Moore

Howard A. Moore, a businessman active in church and civic affairs, was dead on arrival at 9 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. He died unexpectedly. He was 60 years old and had lived at 52018 Lilac Road for the past two years. He had been a partner in the McGladrey, Hansen and Dunn regional public accounting firm. Previously he had been in private practice since 1952. He was born in LaPorte on March 11, 1909 and had lived 45 years in South Bend and five years in Mishawaka previously, coming from LaPorte.

He married Pauline Heinrich in Crown Point on June 23, 1928. She survives along with a son, Richard H. Moore of Winston Salem, N.C; and a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. Warren of Elkhart.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Cathedral of St. James. Rt. Rev. Walter C. Klein, bishop of the Northern Indiana Episcopal Diocese, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Bubb Funeral in Mishawaka.
