Rev. Eugene R. Montoya CSC, 49, of Holy Cross House, died Saturday in his residence. He was born May 19, 1944 in Santa Fe, N.M. He professed his vows in the Congregation of Holy Cross on Aug. 16, 1964 and was ordained on Dec. 18, 1971 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. He was assigned as a hospital chaplain and was involved with parish work and campus ministry in Oregon and California.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, with burial in the Holy Cross Community Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Monday in Moreau Seminary where a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m.
