Bruce A. Montague, 69, of Lake
Placid, Fla., passed away on Jan. 21, 2002, at a hospital in
Florida.
Bruce was born on June 23, 1932, in
Mishawaka, Ind., to George and Grace (Harrington)
Montague, who have both preceded him in death. Bruce was married
to the late Joan (Norton), who also preceded him in death
in 1996.
He is survived by his companion, Diane Reiss
of Lake Placid; his daughter, Michelle Smith and her
husband, James of Mishawaka; his brother, George Montague of
Edmonds, Wash.; a sister, Joan Caufman of Tucson, Ariz.;
and by three grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer and Julie Smith.
Bruce was honorably discharged from the U.S.
Navy, and was the owner of Porky's Tavern in Mishawaka for over
12 years. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in South Bend,
Eagles Lodge in Mishawaka, V.F.W. Post 360 in Mishawaka, and Club
15 in Mishawaka.
Friends may visit at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday,
Feb. 9, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with memorial services
to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. In lieu of flowers, the family
would like memorial donations to be made to the National
Alzheimer's Association.
