Louis J. Molnar SR

September 30, 1879 - November 12, 1961

 

Louis J. Molnar St., 1220½ Thomas St., died at 2:30pm Sunday in St Joseph’s Hospital following a week’s illness.

 

He was born in Hungary on September 30, 1879, and had resided in South Bend 55 years, coming here from Hungary.  In 1906 in Hungary he married Sidonia Fuzy, who died in 1945.  Mr. Molnar was a cabinet maker at the Singer Manufacturing Co for 26 years.

 

Surviving are two sons, Louis J. Molnar Jr. of South Bend, and Nicholas F. Molnar of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Hill and Mrs. Matilda Nowak, both of South Bend; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Julia Gyuga, of South Bend.

 

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Nemeth Funeral Home.  Services will be at 9am Wednesday in St Stephen’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph P. Horvath, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Molnar was a member of the Third Order of St Francis and St. Stephen’s Holy Name Society.
