Eugene G. ''Peenie'' Molnar, 81, of
Regency Place, died at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, in Regency
Place. He was born on Dec. 7, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., to Paula
and Kalman Molnar, who both preceded him in death.
On June 11, 1966, in South Bend, he married
Bernice (Wermuth) Hoppe, who survives. Mr. Molnar is also
survived by a daughter, Deborah Scott and her husband,
Wesley Sr. of South Bend; three grandchildren, Michael Scott,
Wesley Scott, Jr., and Michelle Scott; and by two
great-granddaughters. Mr. Molnar was a retired South Bend City
employee working in the traffic department. He was a member of
V.F.W. Post 8748 South Bend.
Services for Mr. Molnar will be at 1 p.m.
today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street,
South Bend. Rev. Thaddeus Kwak of Our Lady of Hungary will
conduct the services. Cremation will take place in Michiana
Crematory, South Bend. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time
of services today in the funeral home. The family has requested
that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
