SOUTH BEND - Ross W. Molebash, 76, of North Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of McCombs Street, died Aug. 17 in Hospice House, Fort Myers. Mr. Molebash retired from the Indiana State Police after 23 years of service, last serving as first sergeant of the LaPorte Post on the Indiana Toll Road. He served as a security officer until 1984 at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers.

He was born May 5, 1919, in Bourbon, and lived in South Bend until 1968. Surviving are his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Joan Osborne of Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Masons.

Memorial services were Wednesday in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice House, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
