Sister Modesta CSC

Sister Modesta, CSC, who has been in St. Mary’s college and academy for the past 25 years, died this morning at 2:30 o’clock at the convent after several months’ suffering from asthma. Sister Modesta was born in Chicago in 1840 and took the vows of sisterhood 45 years ago, having been in St. Mary’s college since 1888

Funeral services will be held in the St. Mary’s chapel at 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Father Hagerty officiating. Internment will be in the community cemetery.
