SOUTH BEND - Edward A. Mitchell, 44, of 6301/2 W. Indiana Ave., died of natural causes at 6:40 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Mitchell was a security officer for Mikolajewski & Associates. He was born Nov. 6, 1951, in South Bend.

On March 15, 1980, in Elkhart, he married Rhonda L. Green. She survives with three daughters, Erica Mitchell at home, and Tamara and Christina Mitchell, both of California; his mother, Kathleen Mitchell of South Bend; and a sister, Marilee A. Mitchell of South Bend. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was a cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructor and volunteer for American Red Cross.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Erica Mitchell Trust Fund, in care of Valley American Bank.
