Steven D. Miskin, 77, of Old Ridge
Road, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in Memorial
Hospital. Mr. Miskin had worked for Studebaker and retired from
the St. Joseph County Police Department where he was employed for
27 years. Steven was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the
Fraternal Order of Police #155, and Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian
Orthodox Church. He was born on Oct. 25, 1924, in South Bend,
Ind., to Danilo and Kristina Miskin.
On May 25, 1963, in South Bend, he married
Mildred Kosanovich, who survives. He is also survived by a
daughter, Christine Miskin, and her fiancé, Jim Kozakiewicz;
a son, Steven D. Miskin, and his wife, Anne; three grandchildren,
Haley Miskin, Layne Miskin and Nicole Miskin; a sister, Helen
(Mike) Uzelac of South Bend; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Pujo
and Katherine Lang.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 18, in Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox
Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and
friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral
Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a prayer service will be
recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sts.
Peter & Paul Orthodox Church.
