Charles Mintz

MISHAWAKA - Charlie Mintz, 97, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2010, in his home. Born July 24, 1912, he was the son of Joseph and Frieda Mintz. While serving in the Army during WW II, Charlie met and married his soulmate, Toby Moss. She preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by four children, Dick (Linda) of South Bend, Dan (Marianne) of Hinsdale, IL, Ilene "Hayya" Mintz of Ithaca, NY, and Laura Mintz of New Haven, CT; six grandchildren, Jacob (Lauren) of Chicago, Brian and David, both of Santa Rosa, CA, Tahila of South Africa, and Matt and Adrienne Mintz, both of Hinsdale, IL; and one great-granddaughter, Sloane Mintz. Funeral services will be held in the Sinai Synagogue on Tuesday, March 2nd, at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery.
