Winifred "Winnie" D. Minne, 87, of West 9th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 3:15 p.m. Friday, March 21, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Winnie was born on Oct. 31, 1915, in Hamlet, Ind., as the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Anderson) Thomas.

On June 15, 1935, as the former Winifred Thomas, in South Bend, Ind., she married Julius Minne, who preceded her in death on March 20, 1990. Winnie is survived by a son, Ray (Linda) Minne of Mishawaka; two grandsons, Scott (Tammy) and Mark (Monica), both of Mishawaka; and by five great-grandchildren, Trisha Minne, Victoria Minne, Timothy Minne, Kayla Minne and Rachel Minne. Winnie was the manager of the Mishawaka Credit Bureau for 18 years before she retired in 1978. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Winnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 24, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
