22, 1920 - April 6, 2010SOUTH BEND - Patricia J. Minnes, 89, passed away at 8:35 pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Patricia was born on December 22, 1920 in South Bend to the late Harland and Burneice (Hutchinson) Moore. She lived all her life in South Bend. On September 21, 1940 Patricia married Louis C. Minnes Jr., who preceded her in death. Besides her husband, she was proceeded in death by her grandson, David Alexander McLeod; two brothers, William H. Moore and Thomas C. Moore and two sisters, Ida Flaherty and Margaret Freitag. Patricia attended Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church and Southside Baptist Church. She worked for many years at JC Penney, National Bank and Stanz Cheese Company. She developed many long-lasting friendships through work and the community. Patricia is survived by her children, Louis C. (Luke) Minnes III (Sonia) of Bay Village, OH., Phil Minnes (Kathy) of South Bend and Judith McLeod (Richard Pierce) of Charlotte, NC. and by her brother, Donald J. Moore (Barbara) of Medina, OH. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, as well as many who loved her and considered her Grandma, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Southside Baptist Church, 1130 Jackson Rd. South Bend. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd. South Bend, IN. is assisting the family.
