Wilbur "Don" Mink, 74,
residing on Grass Road, South Bend, passed away at 2:50 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center,
South Bend, Ind. He was born Dec, 10, 1927 in South Bend as the
son of Wilbur and Ruth (Ebert) Mink and has lived in this
community all of his life. He served his country during World War
II in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1947
as a Private First Class.
On Nov. 13, 1948 in Lowell, Ind., he married
Dorothy Hayden. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy
of 54 years, along with two daughters, Sharon (James) Ball
of Granger; Dolores "Dee" (Joe) Joyner of
Osceola; two sons, Richard (Mary) Mink and Ralph (Sharon) Mink,
all of South Bend; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving is a
sister, Joyce Brownell of Lowell; and two brothers,
Darrell Mink of Lowell; and Jim (Marie) Mink of Valparaiso, Ind.
Mr. Mink retired in 1998 as Owner and President of Donovan Design
& Build, Inc. following 40 years of service.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18,
2002 in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan
Street. Mr. Jon Molnar will officiate. Graveside services and
burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Palmer Funeral
Home-Guisinger Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr.
Mink may be offered to the Center for Cancer Care at Goshen
Health Systems, 200 High Park Ave., P.O. Box 139, Goshen, Ind.
