 Helen M. Minder

December 23, 1917 – May 27, 1983

 Mrs. Helen M. Minder, 65, 1309 N. Wilbur, died at 7:30am Friday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was retired from the maintenance department of Portage Place Apartments in 1980 after four years of service.

 She was born December 23, 1917, in Paxico KS, and lived here since 1941. On December 28, 1941, she married Paul J. Minder. He died March 19, 1969.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Heller of South Bend and Mrs. Susan Olsen of McAllen TX; two sons, Ken of South Bend and Steve of Niles; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Esther Palmer of South Bend; and two brothers, Paul J. Breitenstein of Kansas City KS and Mark Breitenstein of Paxico.

 Services will be at 11:30am Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. James Trepanier, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6pm Sunday and 3 to 5 and 6 to 8pm Monday at the Hickey Funeral Home.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Memorial contributions may be made to the St Joseph County Cancer Society.
