31, 1933 - April 7, 2010SOUTH BEND - Walter Vill Miller, 76, departed this life on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in his home. He was born in Canton, Mississippi, to the late Dan and Sadie Miller on December 31, 1933. He was one of 12 children. In Canton, Mississippi, he married Annie Mae Nash. Walter came to South Bend, Indiana, in the late 1960s. He worked for Cummings and for Clark Equipment and also for Bendix. He served his country in the United States Navy for three years. He is survived by one brother, Willie (Fay) Miller of South Bend; stepson, Joseph Walker; step-daughter, Deborah Jones-Harrison; special niece and nephew (also caregivers), Victor and Ernestine Jones, all of South Bend, IN; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Six sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. Services for Mr. Walter V. Miller will be held on Thursday, April 15, in the Clark O'Neal Funeral Home Inc. 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.; funeral service will begin at noon. The Clark O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
