Victoria Rose Miller
Jan. 1, 1960 - Dec. 30, 1999
South Bend Tribune 1/1/2000
At 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, the
angels came to take Victoria Rose Miller, 39, of
Mishawaka, Ind., from the Hospice House. Vicki lost a hard fought
battle with breast cancer.
She was born to the late Robert L. and
Sharon Miller of South Bend, Ind., on Jan. 1, 1960, in South
Bend. Vicki was a 1978 graduate of John Adams High School and in
recent years, an employee of MCI World Com at National Steel.
Vicki is survived by her mother, Sharon Miller of South Bend; a
sister, Michelle Lallow of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two brothers,
Mark Miller and Gregg Miller, both of Granger, Ind.; a
brother-in-law, David Lallow of Fort Wayne; and by two
sisters-in-law, Dana Miller and Suellen Miller, both of Granger.
Along with her siblings and her mother are her many children (her
nieces and nephews). Vicki treated them with just as much
compassion and love as she would have for her own, Lindsey and
Stephanie Miller of Granger, David, Michael, Joshua and John
Lallow of Fort Wayne, and Sarah, Jordan and Brookie Miller of
Granger. Vicki is also survived by her close friends, Inga Wright,
Diane East, Julie Stalker and Brenda Inglebright
and Debbie Simmons. She loved her friends very, very much
and she cared for them with as much compassion as she did her own
family.
Vicki had the type of soul that anyone would
wish to possess. Her inward beauty added to her physical
appearance to make her a stunning and radiant woman. In her short
39 years, she touched so many lives. Her legacy of love and
kindness will be carried on through her children, family and
friends. It is in her honor that we rejoice, for in heaven, where
she is, she's partying like it's 1999.
"When I no more behold thee, think on
me."
Friends may visit at McGann Funeral Home
University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road, near Ironwood, from
4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, where a wake service will be held at 4:30
p.m. The rite of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
on Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church
of which she was a member. Rev. Barry C. England, pastor will
officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County.
