GRANGER - Robert Glenn "Bob" Miller, 73, passed
away unexpectedly on June 7 in Elkhart General Hospital. Bob was
born March 28, 1934, in South Bend, to Simon Ray and Ida (Kellums)
Miller and has lived in Michiana all but five years of his life.
He died peacefully with his wife, Wilda, and children at his
side. Bob was a 1952 graduate of Jimtown High School and a 1958
graduate of Ball State University.
He was a teacher in the Penn-Harris-Madison
School district for 34 years teaching at Madison Jr. High, Penn
High School and Prairie vista Elementary. He coached many teams
including head coach in baseball and assistant coach in
basketball at Penn High School, various teams at Madison Jr. High
and many Baugo Little League teams.
Bob married Wilda Tinsley on June 30,
1978. She survives along with five children, Kathleen (Steve) Stout
of Jimtown, Kerry (Sharon) Miller of Carmel, IN, Kevin (Janet)
Miller of Archbold, OH, and Nathan (Vickie) Miller of New
Palestine, IN. In addition to his wife and children,
"Grandpa Bob" was adored by 13 grandchildren, Daniele
(Erik Milholland), Steve (Tricia) Stout, Brook
Stout, Sarah, Paige and Carlee Miller of Jimtown, Libbi
Miller of Carmel, Jordan Taylor and Paxson Miller of

He is also survived by brother, Richard Miller of Galveston, IN,
and Martha Chapman of Hemet, CA.
Athletics was a big part of his life and he
enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play. He was a
big fan of Jimtown and Notre Dame sports. He was an avid golfer,
euchre player, hiker, won a state championship in horseshoes and
played many baseball and softball games throughout the state. He
and Wilda own a small cottage on Cobert Lake her all the
grandkids love to come and spend time with their grandparents.
However, the biggest day of the year for Bob was Christmas.
Shopping started in early fall and didn't stop until the night
before, but having his family all there and being able to shower
them with gifts made that day his favorite of the year.
