NEW CARLISLE - Marvin L. Miller, 81, of Grace Avenue, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away after a lengthy illness at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, in LaPorte Hospital.

Mr. Miller retired in 1975 from the Bendix Corporation after 39 years of employment. He was a supervisor in quality control for the aircraft division.

He was born on March 1, 1918, in Wyatt, Ind. He lived most of his life in South Bend, Ind., moving to New Carlisle in 1976.

On May 18, 1940, he married Geraldine E. Dietl in South Bend. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Janet L. (James) Eichelberger of Westville, Ind.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by his brother, Forest C. Miller of South Bend.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his son, Frederick A. Miller in 1970; and by his parents, Frank and Mary (Talman) Miller.

He was a member of Masonic Temple Lodge #45 in South Bend where he was a 32nd degree mason, and belonged to Scottish Rite Lodge #45 in South Bend.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place.
