SOUTH BEND - Mr. Elijah Miller entered eternal rest at 9:11 a.m.
Saturday, February 20, 2010, in his residence. Mr. Miller, who
resided on South Chestnut Street, South Bend, Indiana, was 59
years of age. Elijah was born on July 6, 1950, in Chicago,
Illinois, to the union of Bestell and Clydie Mae (Jackson)
Miller. He was reared in Chicago and attended Inglewood High
School. In Chicago he was employed by the Wisconsin Steel
Company. On May 27, 2000, Elijah and Erma Williams were married
in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Among his hobbies were playing pool
and "Poker after Dark." He also was a former member of
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Loved ones who
survive Elijah include his wife, Erma; a sister, Sandra Miller of
Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Tyrone Miller of Mishawaka,
Indiana, Clyde Miller and Robert (Kimberly) Miller, both of South
Bend, Indiana, and Jimmie (Gloria) Miler of Chicago, Illinois;
and a special niece, Claudia Miller of South Bend; along with
other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death along with
his parents, Bestell and Clydie Mae Miler, was a brother, Lavern
Miller. Memorial services will be held for Mr. Miller from 3 to 4
p.m. on Friday, February 26, in Alford's Mortuary where
arrangements have been entrusted. Friends may e-mail messages of
